Is there a fee to join?
No. Applying, listing, and maintaining your profile are always free. We earn only a simple 10–20% commission on completed bookings — so we only do well when you do.
Do I set my own rates and schedule?
Yes. You’re an independent professional. You set your services, rates, availability, and service radius, and accept only the bookings that fit your life.
How do I get bookings?
Two ways: families browse and reach out to you directly, and we send you curated introductions to families near you. You’re in control — nothing is booked without your yes.
How and when do I get paid?
Families pay securely in-app — no cash, no chasing invoices. Payouts are sent weekly, directly to you.
What does verification involve?
A government-issued ID and a professional background review for everyone, plus licenses where a category requires them and certifications where they apply. You’re listed only for the categories you’re qualified to offer.
How do ratings and reviews work?
Only families who complete a booking can leave a review, so ratings are genuine. As a new provider, you’ll show a “New to VillageNest · Profile verified” badge — never inflated stars — and build real reviews from there.
What standards am I expected to meet?
Keep your support non-clinical and within your category’s scope, represent your qualifications honestly, communicate warmly, show up reliably, and treat families with care. In short: the standards that make great providers great.
