Safe, from the very first connection
VillageNest is a premium marketplace that connects families with trusted, independent postpartum providers. Here’s exactly how it works — and how we keep it safe.
A marketplace, not an agency
VillageNest facilitates introductions between families and independent providers. You choose who to book, and your relationship is directly with that provider. We don’t employ providers, assign or supervise their work, or provide care ourselves — and all support is non-clinical.
Vetted by service category
Providers are vetted based on the support they offer — we ask for what’s relevant to their category, and no more.
Government-issued ID
We confirm identity for every provider.
Licenses — where applicable
Verified for categories where a license applies.
Certifications & training — where applicable
Doula, wellness, and similar credentials, confirmed where they apply.
Proof of business or standing
Where applicable, for established independent providers.
Agreement to our standards
Every provider agrees to VillageNest standards and service boundaries.
Scope confirmation
Providers are listed only for the categories they’re qualified for.
Clear about what we are — and aren’t
How VillageNest works
- Connects you with independent, vetted providers
- Non-clinical postpartum and home-wellness support
- Each service has a clearly defined scope
- Providers are accountable to clear standards
- You choose, book, and pay providers directly
What VillageNest is not
- A medical, nursing, or clinical provider
- A home-healthcare or clinical care agency
- An employer or supervisor of providers
- A manager of ongoing or in-home care assignments
- An emergency, crisis, or urgent-care service
Concrete, not just comforting
How verification is handled
We confirm a government-issued ID for every provider and review professional background. Licenses are checked where a category requires them; certifications and training are confirmed where they apply. Providers are listed only for the categories they’re qualified for.
How reviews stay real
Only families who complete a booking can leave a review, so ratings reflect real care. New providers show a “New to VillageNest · Profile verified” badge instead of stars — never inflated numbers.
Service boundaries, by category
Every service has a defined, non-clinical scope. Providers agree to work within it and not to offer services outside what’s approved — so what you book is what you receive.
Non-clinical & not an emergency service
VillageNest supports rest, recovery, and home wellness — not medical care. We don’t provide advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Only what’s needed to match you
We ask for the minimum — your name, contact, location, the support you want, and preferred timing. That’s it.
Please don’t share medical details; we don’t need them and don’t collect diagnoses, medical history, medications, or health conditions. VillageNest doesn’t provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you ever feel unsafe or are in crisis, contact your local emergency number right away.
What we collect
What we never ask for
Care you can feel safe about
Trusted, independent providers — vetted by category, clear in scope, gentle in spirit.
