About VillageNest

Is VillageNest a medical provider?

No. VillageNest is a marketplace for non-clinical postpartum support — rest, recovery, meals, home help, errands, and gentle wellness. We don’t provide medical care, advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we’re not a home-nursing agency.

Are providers employees of VillageNest?

No. Every provider is an independent professional who runs their own practice and sets their own services, rates, and availability. VillageNest introduces you and runs the platform — we don’t employ, direct, or supervise providers.

What areas do you serve?

We’re launching across Chicagoland — Chicago and nearby communities like Evanston and Oak Park — and adding providers as we grow. Enter your location when you get started and we’ll show what’s available near you.

Booking & pricing

How does booking work?

Two easy ways: browse providers yourself and reach out, or tell us what you need and we’ll send a short list of vetted matches. Either way, you choose who feels right and book directly, with secure in-app payment.

How much does it cost?

Starting prices are shown on every card and profile — for example, doulas from about $40/hr, home resets from about $35/hr, and wellness sessions from about $90. Final pricing is set by each provider and depends on timing and details; you’ll always see it before you confirm.

How quickly will I hear back?

Usually within about a day — often just a few hours. A real person reviews your note and follows up personally.

What if I’m not sure what kind of support I need?

That’s completely normal. Choose “Not sure yet” when you get started, or book a concierge planner who’ll help you map the right mix of support — with no pressure to decide up front.

Can I book more than one kind of provider?

Absolutely. Many families combine overnight support with weekly home resets and a few meal drop-offs. Book as many independent providers as you like.

Trust & privacy

How are providers vetted?

Vetting is matched to each category. We confirm a government-issued ID and review professional background for everyone, verify licenses where a category requires them, and confirm certifications where they apply. Providers are listed only for what they’re qualified to offer.

Are ratings and reviews real?

Yes. Only families who complete a booking can leave a review, so ratings reflect real care. Newer providers show a “New to VillageNest · Profile verified” label instead of stars — we never inflate numbers.

What information do I need to share?

Only the minimum to match you: name, contact, location, the support you want, and preferred timing. Please don’t share medical details — we don’t collect diagnoses, medical history, medications, or health conditions.

Is VillageNest an emergency service?

No. If you ever feel unsafe or are in crisis, please contact your local emergency number right away. VillageNest is here for everyday postpartum support, not urgent or medical needs.
